No more departure cards needed for international travelers

The Australian Government has signed off on new legislation which abolishes the need for travelers leaving Australia to complete an outgoing passenger card.

The new law, which comes into effect from 1 July 2017, means that international travelers should experience much quicker processing times at Australian international points of departure.  The information which has been needed on the departure card will still be collected by the government from other sources.
