The Tasmanian Government has announced exciting job opportunities to recruit more bilingual park rangers to the State.
After a successful trial last year the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service will be increasing its intake of bilingual Discovery Rangers to help provide a quality experience for the increasing number of Asian visitors to the region.
To make international visitors feel welcome and make the most of their Tasmanian experience, the Parks and Wildlife Service recruited two bilingual (Mandarin and English speaking) Discovery Rangers last financial year for Mount Field and Freycinet national parks, which receive high visitor numbers each year.
The Service is now recruiting for a further four positions for a fixed term 12 month period with successful candidates being fluent in Mandarin and familiar with appropriate etiquette when assisting Asian visitors.
